International Busker Fun in Halifax
Last summer I went home to visit my family in Nova Scotia. The weather was gorgeous and there were many fun activities to take part in, from boating on the lake to dancing in the streets. As I was finishing my trip home, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch some of the buskers perform on the Halifax waterfront. The International Busker Festival is an annual event in Halifax, bringing both performers and tourists from all over the world. This picture was taken of a 3-person acrobatic/juggling/russian bar group from Montreal called 'Throw 2 Catch'. They were extraordinary! If you ever get the chance to visit Halifax in the summer time, you definitely shouldn't miss this show!
If the Dalai Lama can do it..why can't you?
The Dalai Lama recently visited Japan and encourages English language learners to have the courage to speak English as much as possible without worrying about imperfection or making mistakes.
He describes his English as 'broken' but it doesn't stop him from using it as a means of universal communication.
Have the courage to contribute in English... starting in the classroom, cyberspace, and beyond.
